Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
A major mishap was averted today as several coaches of satyagraha express derailed on the Narkatiyaganj-Muzaffarpur railway block on Thursday morning. According to reports, the train got derailed between Majholiya and Betiya railway stations near the Mahodipur rail crossing. The engine got detached from the train while engineless bogies remain running on the railway track.
Fortunately, the driver noticed the accident just after 100 meters and stopped the train by applying emergency brakes. Following this, the coaches were reattached to the train and the service resumed.
During this, the train remains at a halt near the rail gate for 15 minutes. Sources said that the coupling which is used to connect the coaches suddenly snapped due to which the accident took place.
As per reports, the Raxaul-Anand Vihar Satyagrah Express started from Rexall at its scheduled time. On Thursday morning, at around 9:00 AM the train reached Mahodipur. A passenger said that the train departed from the Majholiya station and it is then the passengers notice that the train is running at a disrupted speed. As the train reached the rail gate the engine and the four bogeys got detached.
